The town's assessor holds two meetings annually: the Open Book and the Board of Review.
At the Open Book, the town's assessment rolls are open to be viewed by the town's residents. Instructional material about the assessment, how to file an objection, and board of review procedure under Wisconsin law will be available at the meeting. It is suggested that one appear at the Open Book meeting prior to attending a Board of Review meeting should one want to appeal one's property assessment. The Open Book meeting is held seven days prior to the Board of Review.
The Board of Review meeting is held annually and scheduled by the town's assessor and posted by the Town Clerk. The purpose of the Board of Review is to evaluate and rule upon one's challenges to one's property assessment. The process is conducted under Wisconsin statute s.7045.
The 2026 Open Book will be held on May 27, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
